The Hospital Pharmacy serves both inpatients and outpatients.
The pharmacists dispense prescriptions for GHS beneficiaries, for medicines that are included in the Catalogue of Medicinal Products of the 2nd phase of the GHS. In addition, the pharmacists serve medical card holders for services not included in the GHS, such as prescriptions from SHSO dentists, GHS non-beneficiaries that hold a medical card and non-registered GHS beneficiaries, as per the instructions of the Ministry of Health. Finally, prescriptions for all nominal approvals are also dispensed.
The pharmacy also serves hospital wards, provides medicines that are in short supply on the market to clinics and pharmacies and prepares syrups for specific patients.
The Detox clinic also receives the treatment for its patients from the pharmacy. The pharmacy is responsible for: administering drugs to wards and patients with prescriptions, providing thalassemia patients with iron pumps, which are sent from the Thalassemia clinic in Larnaca, and preparing the solution in the Dialysis department.

Ordering pharmaceutical products from the Purchasing and Procurement Department to cover the needs mentioned above, receiving and counting ordered products stock registration warehouse stock checks, month-end closing process at the end of each calendar month.
