Clinic Profile

The primary mission of the centre is the provision of specialised mental health assessment services provided by the officers of the Directorate of Mental Health Services. Specialised mental health assessment services are defined as services related to the investigation of general mental health or specialised aspects of the mental health of minors or adults. To this effect, a range of means of evaluation is employed, and includes systematic psychometric and psychodiagnostics tests. The primary purpose of the assessment is to compile a report and present it before an authority or other government agency which is institutionally responsible for reaching decisions that may define the rights and/or affect important aspects of the patient’s quality of life.
