Welcome to the webpage of the Urology Clinic of Paphos General Hospital.
The key directions in our daily clinical practice are patient-centric medicine and the application of documented/evidence-based medicine for our treatment protocols. The Clinic promotes its continuous technological modernisation with emphasis on the development of minimally invasive surgical methods.
The Clinic operates at 4 levels:
A) Outpatient Urology Clinics
This is a unit that welcomes patients by appointment. Here, the first clinical assessment and the necessary laboratory tests take place. Based on the results, either the problem is addressed or the patient is referred for further evaluation to the special units.
B) Special Units
These are units that deal with specialised subjects and diseases of Urology, such as prostate diseases, lithiasis, oncology, urinary incontinence, gynaecological Urology, neurourology, male infertility and sexual problems. The special units include the invasive ultrasound/biopsy unit, as well as the endoscopic unit (cystoscopy, ureteroscopy, nephrostomy). Moreover, surgeries are scheduled when required.
C) Urology Clinic – Surgeries
This is the accommodation unit for patients who need hospitalisation or surgery. It has 1 operating room and can cover any incident. The surgeries are fully equipped with all the necessary medical and technological equipment to perform any kind of open, endoscopic operations.
D) Post-operative follow-up The course of recovery of patients who undergo surgery is undertaken by the doctors of the Clinic who planned the surgery and operated the patients.
