The Paediatric clinic of Larnaca General Hospital has been operating since the establishment of the hospital in 1984 and is located on the 4th floor of the main building. It aims to provide high quality medical care to children in a friendly, welcoming and safe environment, attending with love to the needs of the children and their families.

Children are admitted to our clinic through the A&E department of the Hospital. Children are referred to the clinic by their personal paediatrician or on parent’s demand following the communication and arrangement of the visit with the paediatrician on-duty.

The clinic employs 6 Paediatricians, 2 Resident paediatricians and 17 nurses with experience in child care. A paediatrician is on duty 24/7, for management and treatment of hospitalised children or emergencies occurring out of working hours.

Under the guidance of the renowned director of the paediatrics clinic Dr. Adamos Hadjipanagi, Associate Professor of Paediatrics at the European University Medical School and Chairman of the European Academy of Paediatrics (since December 2018), the team of the Paediatrics clinic aims to offer excellent management of paediatric cases and support of young children and their families.

The clinic provides high quality care of hospitalised children by stepping on the excellent scientific training and long experience of our Paediatricians in paediatric care. At the same time, the clinic accommodates clinical training for the students of the Medical School of the European University of Cyprus as part of their internship in the field of paediatrics, as well as training for Resident paediatricians.

In addition, the paediatrics operate an outpatient clinic in a welcoming, brand-new space on the ground floor of the new building., built specifically for the needs of children In collaboration with all the medical and paramedical specialties that are directly relevant to paediatrics, we provide the appropriate treatment for any health condition, at any stage of the child’s development, safeguarding their proper development.
