The Paediatric Pulmonary Clinic at Arch. Makarios III Hospital treats patients from the whole spectrum of respiratory conditions in the paediatric population as well as patients with chronic lung disease.
We receive referrals from public hospitals as well as personal doctors.
The clinic operates a regular daily paediatric pulmonology clinic which is staffed by the Clinic’s physicians.
At the Paediatric Pulmonology Clinic, various diagnostic tests are conducted to ensure timely diagnosis and effective monitoring for the following conditions:
Blood sampling for haematological/biochemical/serological examinations at the Arch. Makarios III biochemistry laboratory and in collaboration with other medical centres (Cyprus Institute of Neurology and Genetics, Karaiskakio Foundation). Additionally, biopsies of the bronchial epithelium are conducted for the examination of the microstructure and motility of the bronchi. Furthermore, the clinic serves requests for mechanical ventilation at home and medication prescriptions.
