The Internal Medicine department is located on the 7th floor of the hospital and has a capacity of 30 beds distributed in double and quadruple rooms. Patients of the department are also treated in the Intensive Care Unit when deemed necessary.
The department is on duty around the clock and is staffed with 6 Specialist Doctors, 6 Resident and 4 Trainee Doctors. The needs of the department’s inpatients are fully met in collaboration with the other clinics. Due to the shortage of some specialties in our Hospital, the department is also responsible for treating patients with haematological, oncological, pulmonary and neurosurgical conditions.
Regarding our Outpatient clinic, the Diabetes centre offers a complete range of services, such as diagnosis and treatment, operates clinics for Gestational Diabetes and Diabetic Foot, insulin pumps and training on insulin self-administration. In addition, there is a specialised Hepatology and a Hypertension Clinic, where 24-hour Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring (ABPM) and investigation of secondary hypertension take place. Finally, a clinic for infectious diseases recently began its operations
