The Adolescent Inpatient Care Department is an inpatient clinic with a capacity of 8 beds. It is located at Makarios Hospital and has been established as a “Safe Psychiatric Care Centre” but also accommodates voluntary admissions.
The department provides care for adolescents aged 12 to 17 years old who are facing severe psychiatric and psychosocial issues. It serves patients from across Cyprus and is staffed by an interdisciplinary team comprising appropriately trained professionals from the Mental Health Services, including child psychiatrists, clinical psychologists, occupational therapists, and mental health nurses.
