Dr. Ekaterini Pyrovolaki completed her studies in Greece, where she graduated from the Medical School of the University of Crete. She completed her Doctoral Thesis with special emphasis on Marrow Insufficiency of patients with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus, at the Medical School of the University of Crete. After completing her specialty, she specialised in Hemostasis and Thrombosis and currently deals with Thalassaemia and Sickle Cell Disease. Dr. Pyrovolaki has a long documented history with patients. She has won many distinctions and awards with both her doctoral thesis and her research work and has more than 20 publications in prestigious scientific journals, lectures at Greek conferences and about 50 presentations at international and Greek conferences.
