Cardiology
Dr. Angeliki Mouzarou completed her medical studies at Semmelweis Medical University and the specialty of cardiology at the General Hospital of Attica ¨KAT. She obtained the title of cardiologist from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in 2016. She also holds two postgraduate degrees in Healthcare Treatment Systems and in Health Units Administration and doctoral candidate of the medical school. Since the 3rd year of her medical studies at Semmelweis University until today she has participated in conferences and trainings of health professionals with lectures related to human physiology, cardiopulmonary resuscitation and emergency management. She has attended a special training programme for teaching and presenting lectures as a member of the university’s teaching staff in the Physiology department. From 2006 to 2017 she worked as a Physiology teacher in various private colleges in Greece. Since 2013 she is a registered instructor and director in the European Resuscitation Council (ERC) in the Hellenic Society of Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (EEKAA) and in the Cyprus Resuscitation Council (KYSAN). In addition, since 2016 she is a registered instructor of the National Emergency Medical Technicians (NAEMT), she was recently appointed as the National Medical Director of the educational programmes of the organisation in Cyprus. For three years she worked as a clinical researcher in the cardiology clinic, of the General Hospital ¨KAT¨, in Athens, of the FOURIER and EBINHAUSE studies (intervention studies, phase 3). Finally she has several international presentations and publications in scientific journals.
