She was born and raised in Nicosia. She received the High School leaving certificate from B’ Kykkos High School and having as first choice medicine, in the entrance exams for the Greek universities, she received a place at the Medical University of Ioannina.
From the beginning her desire was to become a pediatrician and after completing her studies, she started the medical specialty course in Pediatrics in Greece. Her six-month training in Neonatal Intensive Care, Neonatal Clinic of the Hippocratic Hospital of Thessaloniki, as part of her training for Pediatric Specialty was enough to see that she wanted to be a Neonatologist.
She received the specialty in Neonatal Intensive Care following her two-year training in Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at the Hippocratic Hospital of Thessaloniki. She returned to Cyprus where she initially practiced the Pediatric specialty and since 2009 she is a Neonatology specialist in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Arch. Makarios III Hospital.
