Dr. Garpozis studied at the same time at the Military School of ΣΣΑΣ and at the Medical Department of A.U.Th from 1996 until 2002 when he graduated with a grade of 8 (Very Good). He followed the specialty of Orthopedics at the General Hospital of Nicosia (2006-2012) and received the title of Orthopedic Surgeon from the N.K.U. Athens in October 2012. As part of his specialty, he participated in the activities of the Microsurgery Clinic of the Γ.Ν.Α KAT for a period of 6 months where he became acquainted with upper extremity surgery, arthroscopy and microsurgery.

He has been working in the public sector as an Orthopedic Surgeon since 2012. He has experience in various fields of orthopedics such as the treatment of complex injuries of the upper and lower limbs, the treatment of multiple injuries and the treatment of osteoarthritis of the hip, knee and shoulder joints with arthroplasty.

He is also of particular interest in the surgical treatment of sports injuries by performing arthroscopies and open surgeries on the knee, shoulder and ankle joints. Recently, in collaboration with the Department of Infections and Plastic Surgery, he has been dealing with complex cases of septic arthritis as well as osteomyelitis of long bones with bone defects and deformities of the limbs. He is a research associate at the Departments of Medicine of the University of Cyprus and the European University.
