Dr. Trogkanis Stratos studied with a scholarship at the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in Greece and then received the title of Cardiology after training in hospitals in Athens and rural Greece.
He worked as a cardiologist in hospitals in Athens. He has obtained, after examinations, a Diploma of General Cardiology from the European Society of Cardiology and a Diploma specialising in Thrombosis and Antithrombotic Treatment and has dealt specifically with populations of patients with Heart Failure, often being the Head of the Heart Failure clinics in hospitals in Athens. He has participated as a researcher in several important multi-focus studies related to the most modern treatments for Heart Failure.
He has published articles in Greek and European journals of Cardiology, has participated as a speaker in pan-Hellenic conferences and has published original papers in pan-European cardiology conferences. He is a member of the Hellenic Society of Cardiology. He also holds a degree in History and Social Anthropology (University of the Aegean) and has attended postgraduate studies in Public Health, Chronic Diseases and Health Behaviors (National School of Public Health, Athens). He is married and has two children.
