Dr. Irene Zarvou graduated from Comenius University of Bratislava, Slovakia. She completed her specialization in pneumonology in Athens – Greece. During her studies she was trained in different departments / hospitals, including 251 Airforce Hospital, Sotiria Thoracic Disease Hospital of Athens, Attikon University Hospital. After her studies in respiratory medicine, she was trained in interventional Pulmonology, especially in endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS) – ΕRS certified, at interventional Pulmonology unit of National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. She is PhD candidate. Dr. Zarvou is member of Hellenic Thoracic Society and of European Respiratory Society. She participated and presented in several seminars, workshops and conferences. She is associate of Cyprus University and European University of Cyprus. Her goal is the continuous education for improving management of the patients and upgrading the offering services.

Work Experience:

• 2014-2015 Practice in Internal Medicine and General Surgery in General Hospital of Famagusta
• 2015-2016 Practice in Internal Medicine of 2nd Internal Medicine Department of 251 HAF
• 2016-2021 Pracice in Pulmonology at 251 HAF ,including 6 months at ICU of 251 HAF, 6 months at 2nd Pulmonology Department of Athens University – focused in interstitial lung diseases and rare lung diseases.
• 01/2021-09/2022 training in interventional Pulmonology at interventional Pulmonology unit of National and Kapodistrian University of Athens 10/2021 till now Pulmonologist at General Hospital of Nicosia- Cyprus
