Dr. George Pliakas completed his studies in Greece, where he graduated from the medical department of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and at the same time from the Military School. He then specialised in Medical Microbiology – Biopathology in the 401 General Military Hospital of Athens and Laiko Hospital. Subsequently he served in Units of ELDYK and National Guard, housed together at 106 Military Hospital Campaign (BMH). He was a scientific director of the microbiology laboratory of the General Clinic Euromedica Dodecanese (Rhodes). He traveled in Cyprus where after working in the private Laboratory Medicine (Medifos), he was then recruited at the Arch. Makarios III Hospital

During my schooling, I served as an assistant in various clinics of 401 Military Hospital and attended the School’s courses Special Weapons Armed Forces – Radiology–Biological-Chemical Warfare and School Instructors. 1997-1999: served as LT Doctor Unit Xanthi region. 1999-2000: Medical specialty Start Biopathology (Microbiology) in 401 Athens General Military Hospital (Pathology one year) 2000-2004: Medical specialty continuation Biopathology (Microbiology) in Athens General Hospital Laiko 2004-2006: Served as Captain Doctor in Units ELDYK and the National Guard, available in parallel at 106 Military Hospital Campaign (BMH). 2006-2017: Coordinator of Clinical microbiology laboratory General Euromedica Dodecanese (Rhodes) 2017-2019: Laboratory Medicine Medifos Centre. 2019- today: Microbiology laboratory Hospital Archbishop Makarios III
