Dr. George Vakis graduated from Semmelweis University in Budapest in 1990 with a degree in General Medicine. Four years later he completed his studies in Dermatology- Venereology at Albert Szent-Györgyi Medical in Szeged, Hungary. In 1996 he was appointed a Public Service Dermatologist-Venereologist at the Outpatient Clinics of Larnaca General Hospital, having additional duties in the care of patients with Homsen disease and skin diseases of HIV patients. Between 2008-2014 he was the representative of Cyprus in the European Association of Dermatology EADV. Since May 2019 he has been promoted to the position of Assistant Director of Dermatology.
