Dr. Coronakis Nicolaos completed his studies in Greece, where he graduated from the Medical School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, while at the same time receiving the rank of Assistant Doctor graduating from the Military School of Officers Corps. During his specialty training at A’ Surgery Clinic of the General State Hospital of Athens- 401 Athens Military Hospital) he was trained in the whole range of General Surgery. He served as a general surgeon in all the big Military Hospitals if Athens, as a doctor in the special operations units of the Greek military and as a doctor in the Athens Olympic and Paralympic Games 2004. At the same time he practiced general surgery privately, collaborating with large private clinics in Athens. Dr. Coronakis received his PhD with distinction from the Medical School of the University of Athens. He has specialised in Trauma Surgery and Emergency Surgery in the USA at LAC-USC, as well as in Laparoscopic Surgery in Strasbourg-France and Taiwan. He received the Intensive Care specialisation after two years of practice at Nicosia General Hospital. He has participated in many conferences and has several publications in scientific journals. He has also participated in international research studies mainly on the subject of the trauma. He is the Head of Training of resident doctors at the surgery clinic of Larnaca General Hospital, as well as of the students of the Medical School of European University Nicosia. Dr Coronakis is a member of the American College of Surgeons.
