Dr. Lekka Nektaria is a graduate of the Medical School of the University of Ioannina, Greece (2003). She completed the Specialty of Anesthesiology at the General Hospital of Asklipieio Voula-Attica and obtained the title of Anesthesiologist from the Region of Eastern Attica (2008). Successful attendance of the Postgraduate Programme of Emergency Pre-Hospital Medicine of EKAB, Athens, 2006 -2007. Dr. Lekka has a PhD from the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (2016) with a thesis on: “The contribution to the study of newer pharmacological agents in the treatment of cardiac arrest caused by asphyxia”. Active participation in educational Conferences and Seminars with presentations and papers both in Cyprus and abroad. She provides anesthesia (General, Local, Sedation -Analgesia) for a wide range of scheduled and emergency surgeries inside and outside the operating theatre (A&E, MRI, CT, etc). In addition, she manages high-risk patients and accompanies critically ill patients to other Hospitals. She also participates in the training of Residents in Anesthesiology and of the Anesthesiology students of the Medical School of St George’s University.
