Pulmonology
Dr. Maria Kryfti completed her studies at the Medical School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 2005. In 2013 she obtained the title of Pulmonology. She also holds the European Diploma in Adult Respiratory Medicine
In 2007 she obtained the Master’s Degree in “Environmental Health” from the Cyprus International Institute for Environmental and Public Health in collaboration with Harvard University
In 2016 she was awarded the title of Doctor by the University of Thessaly for the elaboration of her thesis on the “Effect of smoking cessation on indicators of inflammation”.
During her training she was awarded a Research Fellowship by the Hellenic Pulmonary Society for research on “Effects of smoking cessation on serum leptin and adiponectin levels”. She presents a rich research work with publications in recognised medical journals. She participates in European Pulmonology conferences and presents topics related to the specialty of Pulmonology, teaches clinical skills to medical students and Pulmonology residents
