Dr Marios Polyzois

Dr. Polyzois graduated from the Medical School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and the Military School of Officers (Military Medicine). He obtrained Master’s degree from the Medical School of Athens University in Molecular & Applied Physiology.
He specialised in Internal Medicine at A Pre-registration Clinic of Athens Medical School in LAIKO Hospital. He specialised in Diving & Hyperbaric Medicine at the Naval Hospital of Athens. He has an interest in pre-hospital medicine and he was Medical Director at KENAP Naval Training Centre, Souda, Crete, certified training centre by NAEMT and instructor team member who teaches in Tactical Combat Casualty Care schools and Medical Combat Care in Maritime Operations (combat trauma management in sea operations).
He participated for over 2 years until his retirement from the military, as a national medical representative (Greece) at NATO level meetings regarding Diving Medicine and Submarine Rescue. As a hospital doctor he actively engaged with specialised topics related to the field of Diving Medicine and clinical application of Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy, as well as Internal Medicine (prevention, diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic problems).
