SLT LASER / Complex GLAUCOMA cases
Dr. Marios Prokopiou studied at the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. He obtained the specialty title in Ophthalmology after 3 1/2 years of training at the Naval Hospital of Athens and 2 1/2 years at Agios Dimitrios Hospital of Thessaloniki. He has been working in Cyprus since 1996 as an Ophthalmic Surgeon. In 2010 he went on a scholarship to Manchester to study with specialist glaucoma professor Madhu Nagar and trained in SLT Laser and attended complex cases at the Complex Glaucoma Clinic in order to learn how to treat them. He is a member of the Council of Ophthalmologists (MINISTRY OF HEALTH) and Head of the Ophthalmology Clinic of Larnaca General Hospital for the last 5 years.
