Mr Stavrinos graduated from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. After completion of his medical studies in Greece he moved on to the United Kingdom for his basic and specialist training in Neurosurgery. During his years of training and practicing Neurosurgery Mr Stavrinos had the opportunity to gain experience while working at centres of excellence in both England and Scotland, providing high standards of care and applying modern techniques for the treatment of the whole spectrum of neurosurgical pathologies.
Mr Stavrinos has an interest in the surgical management of a variety of Central and Peripheral Nervous System pathologies. He has special interest and a lot of experience in simple, complex and minimally invasive techniques used in the management of degenerative, traumatic, osteoporotic, and oncological disease of the spine. He has expertise in using Minimally Invasive Surgical techniques for the treatment of spinal fractures such as Percutaneous Pedicle Screw Fusion and Kyphoplasty.
Mr Stavrinos frequenlty attends international meetings, conferences and workshops keeping his knowledge up to date.
He is a member of the Cyprus Medical Association and the British General Medical Council.
