    Dr Stamatios Kastanias graduated from the Medical University of Pavia in Italy in 2005 and completed his first specialty in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Athens, Alexandra Hospital. In 2015 he worked in London hospitals, initially in Uro-gynecology Department of St Mary’s Hospital of Imperial College NHS Trust and then at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of PRUH King’s College Hospital NHS Trust. Since the end of 2016, he has been working in the Obstetrics-Gynecology Department of the Famagusta General Hospital and since July 2020 he is in the Head of the Department. He holds a Master’s Degree on “Research in Women’s Reproduction” and is certified in Urodynamics Testing by the International Continence Society and in Colposcopy of the Hellenic Society of Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology. He has participated in hands-on seminars on laparoscopic and open surgery (Modul I, Laparotomy- Ovarian Cancer). He has publications in international journals with studies related to female pelvic prolapse and urinary incontinence.
