It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to the new website of the Hospitals of the Nicosia Region of the State Health Services Organization (SHSO), consisting of the Nicosia General Hospital and the Archbishop Makarios III Hospital.
The Nicosia General Hospital is the largest hospital in Cyprus, both in number of patients and in building infrastructure and equipment, with well-trained medical and paramedical staff. Each year, the hospital serves 25,000 patients for inpatient treatment, 250,000 patient visits to Outpatient Clinics, 7,500 surgical procedures and approximately 100,000 visits to the Accidents and Emergency Department.
