Limassol General Hospital is the largest hospital in the Limassol District serving the population of the district and the wider region, and is the second-largest in the network of hospitals of the State Health Services Organisation along with 7 other facilities that provide comprehensive healthcare coverage across free Cyprus. The Hospital is staffed by 137 medical officers, 602 nursing officers and 101 other health professionals and operates with a capacity of 329 beds and 6 operating rooms.

The Hospital’s Accident and Emergency Department manages injuries and other emergencies in the Limassol District while specialised treatments are provided through its various departments and clinics. These include, among others, the only Natural Childbirth Room in Cyprus within the Maternity Clinic, the Breast & Thyroid Clinic which as part of General Surgery, the Department of Nuclear Medicine, the Urodynamic Laboratory within the Urology Clinic and an Orthopaedic Clinic specialising in the treatment of thoracolumbar (Spinal), Pelvic Ring and Acetabular Fractures.  Noteworthy, is the fact that the hospital houses the only Haematology and Nephrology Clinic in the district and the broader area, while the Intensive Care Unit and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit also stand out for their specialised services.

The Hospital operates modern medical equipment such as the Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) machine in the Radiology Department and the Angiography system in the Interventional Cardiology Laboratory. Furthermore, a brand-new state-of-the-art CT scanner combined with a Mini Angio will soon be installed in the Radiology Department.
