Outpatients can schedule appointments for any specialty through the SHSO website, by phone or at the hospital, at the respective departments where appointments are given for each clinic/doctor. Emergencies are treated directly at the A&E department, while patients who need inpatient care are admitted to the respective clinics for further treatment.

Patients who wish to visit a specialist doctor or a personal doctor, can arrange an appointment with the doctor of their choice through the website of SHSO, by phone or in person at the hospital, in the respective secretariats of clinics.

Inpatients can be admitted by scheduled appointment for inpatient care or by the Emergency department with referral from on-duty doctors.

You can make an appointment with a specialist doctor of the Paphos General Hospital through the website of the hospital on the SHSO website, by phone at the respective secretariat of the clinic you wish to visit or in person for a written arrangement of an appointment.

Services of a Clinical Hospital Laboratory (Chemical Laboratory) are also available, which can be visited without an appointment.

If you have a referral from your Personal Doctor, upon arrival you will have to pay €6 for registration at the respective secretariat. If you do not have a referral, then the registration costs €25.

Your are strongly advised to arrive earlier for your appointment, so that the registration can be completed before the time of your appointment.

In case you will not be able to attend the appointment, it is recommended to inform the secretary in advance for cancellation.

At the end of your appointment, the doctor will usually inform you  when you should revisit (if needed). After your appointment, you can visit the clinic secretariat to confirm your follow-up appointment. This can be done by phone if you have left the hospital.

I arrive earlier than the visit so that the registration can be done and I can be at the doctor’s office at the time of the appointment.

In case I know that I will not be able to come to the appointment, it is recommended to inform in advance for cancellation.

At the moment, due to the current pandemic, ward visits at Paphos General Hospital are not permitted.

Admission can take place in case of a scheduled surgery, after consultation with the doctor (specialist or personal). An inpatient referral is issued, which is registered on the day of the scheduled surgery by the clinic secretariat at no charge.

In case of emergency, the admission can be done by the Department of Accidents and Emergencies (A&E), with on-site issuance of a referral for inpatient care by the doctor on duty.

For some treatments that are considered daily incidents, the patient provides, after consultation with the doctor, the inpatient referral, which is registered by the secretariat free of charge on the day of treatment. Once the patient receives treatment, he/she can leave the hospital.
