The Larnaca – Famagusta Mental Health Services for Children and Adolescents are located in the community in an interprofessionally staffed Centre with a Child Psychiatrist, Clinical Psychologists, Occupational Therapist and Mental Health Nurses. They offer, on an outpatient basis, diagnosis, therapy and rehabilitation services to children and adolescents up to 17 years old but also their families. The interventions include their family and the school environment. Children and adolescents who face mild to severe psychological – psychosocial – psychoemotional difficulties are referred to the Centre.
The Mental Health Services develop activities related to prevention, diagnosis, treatment, education and research.
