Dr Konstantinos Faropoulos graduated from the Medical School of Patras University, while he specialized in neurosurgery at the University General Hospital of Patras. Simultaneously with his specialty training he completed his PhD in oxidative cerebral stress. In 2015 he achieved second place at the Hellenic Neurosurgical Competition Ch. Antoniadis. He has accomplished successfully a series of brain and spine operations, with particular interest in endoscopic skull base operations, microsurgery for brain tumours and complex operations of the cervical spine. His scientific work involves a series of publications in known foreign medical journals and he is reviewer in a worldwide well known neurosurgical journal. Additionally, he has an extended research work, with particular interest to cerebral oxidative stress, the cerebral oedema in patients with brain tumours and the neuro-psychiatric disorders in patients after head trauma. During the last ten years he performs regular presentations at the annual Hellenic Neurosurgical Congresses; one of these won the award for the best poster, while he has consistent attendance in training courses abroad. Finally, he is the secretary of the board of the Cyprus Neurosurgery society since 2019.
