Dr. Panagiota Kara graduated from the Department of Medicine of the School of Health Sciences of the University of Patras, in Greece. Then she completed her five-year specialisation in Anatomical Pathology, at Evangelismos General Hospital in Athens, during which she was trained in the macroscopic and microscopic examination of surgical preparations and a wide range of biopsy material. Since 2015 she has been working in the Pathology Department of Nicosia General Hospital, specialising in neoplasms and inflammatory diseases of the chest (lung and pleura) and soft tissue tumors. At the same time she deals with diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, urogenital system, endocrine system and skin tumors. In 2017 she specialised in the evaluation of immunohistochemical staining PD-L1 with clone 22C3 and in the calibration of neoplastic tumors with TPS and CPS score. In recent years she has been collaborating with the Medical School of the University of Cyprus as a scientific specialist.
