Dr. Theodora Zachariadou Georgiou graduated from the Acropolis High School (Nicosia) in 1988. She studied medicine at the Medical School of the University of Patras (Greece) and graduated in 1994. She enrolled in the Doctors Register of Cyprus on 14 | 12 | 1995. From July 1996 to April 2000 |Resident doctor in General Medicine at “Hippocratic Hospital” (Athens) and at Nicosia General Hospital (Cyprus). She obtained the title of “General | Family Doctor” on 23 | 04 | 2000. Obtained a PhD | on 02 | 04 | 2008 after completing her doctoral thesis in the Department of Community and Family Medicine at the University of Crete. Sh received a master’s degree on 31 | 07 | 2011 after completing the 3-year postgraduate course “MSc in Health Units Management” at the Open University of Cyprus. Since the 06 | 06 | 2000 | she has been working in Primary Health Care as a general practitioner. Since 01 | 08 | 2012 she is the Director of Engomi Health Centre, Nicosia. Since 2012 | 2015 |she has worked as Adjunct Faculty at the Open University of Cyprus as a professor in the graduate course “Health Units Management.” During 2016 | 2017 she worked as a professor at the Medical School of the European University in Nicosia | where she taught the course “Health Care Management and Public Health” for second-year medical students. Since 2015 she is the academic coordinator of the specialty of General | Family Medicine for resident doctors in Cyprus. During 2018 | 2019 she worked as Adjunct Faculty at the Medical School of the University of Cyprus | where she taught 6th-year medical students the course of General Medicine and Primary Health Care. Since 2014 she is the president of the General Medicine Association of Cyprus. She has 22 publications in medical journals and 26 conference presentations.
