Emergency Medicine
Dr. Yiangos Lavranos studied Medicine at the University of Athens with an IKY scholarship and graduated in 2001. He then completed postgraduate studies in Health Units Management at the Open University of Cyprus (with distinction), doctoral studies in Hepatology at Athens University (with a Propontis Foundation scholarship), and he is a final year undergraduate student of Greek Culture (BA History-Archeology-Art) at the Open University of Cyprus. He has received postgraduate training in Clinical Nutrition and Metabolism (Postgraduate Diploma, ESPEN), Transplants (ESOT IPT / Hesperis) in Clinical Hepatology (EEMH and EASL Scholarship) and Infections (DAAD Scholarship), and holds a LCCI Higher diploma in Public Relations. He is a member of the A&E clinical protocol workgroup and is an elected Assistant Professor of Public Health and Clinical Emergency Medicine Instructor (University of Cyprus and European University of Cyprus). He has more than 100 publications in scientific journals (h index = 13) with awards from the Medical Olympiad, the Medical Knowledge Olympiad, the Hellenic Society of Pathology, the FID / CEDA and the ECDO / Marie Curie.
