Dr Marinela Loizidou

Dr. Marinela Loizidou studied in Thessaloniki, graduating from the Medical School of Aristotle University. She specialised in Anesthesiology at Evangelismos Hospital in Athens. She trained in Pediatric Anesthesiology at Aglaia Kyriakou Hospital, in obstetric anesthesiology at Alexandra Hospital and in the intensive care unit – ICU – at “Evangelismos” Hospital in Athens. In 2007 she obtained a master’s degree in public administration (MBA) from the Productivity Centre [KEPA]. In 2010, with a Fulbright Commission scholarship, she was trained in local anesthesia using ultrasound at Harvard University Massachusetts Hospital in Boston and HSS (Hospital for Special Surgeries) University Hospital in New York. In 2012 she obtained a diploma in local anesthesia and analgesia from the University of Montpellier, France. She worked at the General Hospital of Nicosia and Larnaca for many years and since 2014 she is the Director of the Anesthesiology Department at Larnaca General Hospital. Dr. Loizidou is passionate about local anesthesia and neurosurgical anesthesia.
