Dr. Savvas Psarelis completed his studies in Greece, where he graduated from the Medical School of the University of Ioannina. He then specialised in Rheumatology at the KAT Hospital in Athens. During his studies he specialised in autoimmune systemic diseases and metabolic bone diseases. He completed his doctoral thesis at the Medical School of the University of Athens with a scholarship from the AG Leventis Foundation. Since 2007 he has been working at Nicosia General Hospital. Dr. Psarelis in his many years has successfully treated a wide range of diseases with pathological and rheumatic manifestations. He also has rich research activity with many presentations in national (55) and international conferences (22) and 18 publications in peer review jurnals. A recent research proposal on INFLAMMATION / COAGULATION DISEASE ACTIVITY MONITORING DEVICE made in collaboration with the Cyprus University of Technology and foreign associates was selected by the Research Promotion Foundation for funding and is expected to begin shortly. At the same time, he participates in the education of medical students as a research associate of three medical schools (University of Cyprus, European University and St George’s University). Dr. Psarelis is a member of many scientific societies and committees.
