Dr. Andreas Mitsis completed his medical studies at the Medical School of the University of Patras in 2006 and his specialty in cardiology at the Cardiology Clinic of Nicosia General Hospital in 2015. After working as a Resident in Intensive Care at the ICU of Nicosia General Hospital, in 2016 he left for the United Kingdom where he specialised for 2 years in Interventional Cardiology and intravascular techniques for the treatment of ailments of the aorta at the Royal Brompton Hospital in London. In 2018 he was awarded a scholarship by the European Association of Percutaneous Cardiovascular Interventions (EAPCI) and attended the University Hospital of Bern, Switzerland, for a 12-month course specialising in newer invasive cardiology techniques and invasive structural cardiopathology techniques. He returned to Cyprus in January 2020 and is a member of the invasive cardiology team of Nicosia General Hospital. Dr. Mitsis has more than 25 publications in internationally renowned scientific journals, participation in the writing of cardiology books, presentations of abstracts of medical papers and lectures at international conferences. He is a member of the Pancyprian Medical Association and the Cyprus Society of Cardiology, the Cyprus Resuscitation Council (CYSAN), the European Society of Cardiology (ESC) and the European Association of Percutaneous Cardiovascular Interventions (EAPCI).
