Dr. Andreas Tofaridis completed his medical studies in 2014 at the Medical School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He began his specialty in Internal Medicine, after examinations at the Pathology Clinic of Limassol General Hospital and then at the Pathology Clinic of Nicosia General Hospital. He received the title of Internal Medicine Specialist after successful examinations at the National Kapodistrian University of Athens in December 2020. Dr. Andreas Tofaridis during his specialty demonstrated special interest in the subject of Infectious Diseases. He holds a Postgraduate Diploma from the Democritus University of Thrace on the subject of Infectious Diseases International Medicine: From the laboratory to Clinical Practice, with grade Excellent. During the two-year postgraduate course (2018-2020), he submitted a final dissertation, with grade of 10/10, on “Epidemiology of antimicrobial strains Klebsiella pneumoniae during the period 2013-2018 in public hospitals of the Republic of Cyprus”. In addition, Dr. Tofaridis holds a Pan-European Good Clinical Practice Certificate (GCP), following training and written examinations. In addition, he has attended various educational courses and received the relevant certifications following his success in the corresponding examinations, such as the 4th School of Hypertension organised under the auspices of the European Society of Hypertension and the Medical School of the University of Athens, the 11th School of Clinical Hepatology organised by the Hellenic Liver Study Society, as well as the 8th Clinical Tuition Centre for Diabetes organised by the Hellenic Diabetes Society. In addition, he has published in international scientific journals with over 25 citations and is a peer reviewer of scientific articles. He regularly participates in pan-Cypriot, pan-Hellenic and pan-European conferences on topics related to the broader specialty of Internal Medicine with numerous presentations of papers.
